We are inviting applications for the role of Manager, Data Scientist! In this role you will engage in and drive development for the analytics, use of technical solutions to transform and analyze large data sets is crucial to this role. Also necessary is expertise in big data, data storage and retrieval, methods of analysis and statistical calculation, optimization and algorithm design and implementation. As a technical leadership role, comfort in quickly designing and explaining solutions to clients is key. Working both directly and indirectly for clients, one would need excellent consulting and technical skills and the ability to work with both high level business leaders and technical staff. Responsibilities The Role demands for a highly qualified professional who can provide mentorship to direct reports typically comprising of first line managers and supervisors. Manager will be responsible for all the activities related to %26ndash; Think strategically about data as a core enterprise asset and assist in all phases of the advanced analytic development process Support advanced analytical and data mining efforts which could include but not limited to clustering, segmentation, logistic and multivariate regression, decision/CART trees, neural networks, time-series analysis, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, random forests, and Bayesian analysis The scope of work includes Forecast, Prediction Models, Outlier Reporting, Payment Integrity violation identification, Adhoc analysis Implementation of Supervised and Unsupervised model development techniques Work with Data engineers to supervise and help institutionalize models and dashboards for Analytics Develops ML models using identified features and packages Own the design of sophisticated and large-scale datasets to be used for statistical modeling and data mining. Slice and dice through the database and come up with meaningful analytical insights Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Facility with one or more quantitative data analysis languages such as R, SciPy, NumPy, SQL, Python, SAS, SPSS Experience with relational database management systems (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, DB2) Works with key stakeholders to generate and test hypotheses Experience with contemporary big data technologies (Hadoop, HIVE, PIG, MapReduce) Facility with one or more data analytical methods such as regression, decision trees, experimental designs, support vector machines, machine learning and text mining Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment without compromising the quality Conduct explanatory data analysis and prepare data sources to be analyzed. Bachelors or Master%26rsquo;s degree with specialization in statistics, applied mathematics, economics, finance, computer science or Information systems/science; Preference given to candidates with demonstrated academic achievement in core subjects and proficiency in quantitative subject matter (Advanced Statistics coursework, Predictive Modeling projects). Strong financial analytical skills and problem solving skills. Effective communicate in writing and verbally to senior management. Experience in balancing customer facing role and work assessments. Self-starter and have analytical, problem solving skills Ability to balance customer governance meetings Preferred qualifications Able to cultivate robust working relationships with the team, peers and clients, scheduling flexibility required Overall candidate should have problem solving, macro-level research and analytics approach and good in numbers. Good people and customer handling skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skill.
