A day in the life
As the Senior Program Manager for Alexa skills, you will lead key business goals for skill certification that seek to improve developer experience and customer trust in Alexa skills. You will drive complex cross-functional goals from initiation to delivery, and launch key initiatives for Alexa. You will work with stakeholder teams skill content operations, customer experience, platforms, tech, products, marketing, business development, Legal and solution architects to pursue customer and developer delight while maximizing selection in our Skill Store.

We are the team that manages rapidly growing third party (3P) skills catalog for Alexa across all devices. If you are excited by technology and working in a fast paced challenging environment drives you, we would love to have you as part of the Amazon Alexa Skills Certification team. The team drives the entire ingestion and certification process for Alexa skills, which involves the entire life cycle from the time a developer submits a skill to the time it is put up on the store, and ensuring the high quality experience for Alexa customers even after that.
As the Senior Program Manager, Alexa Skills, you will drive key business goals critical to improving the skill certification experience and quality of skill store. You will
Define and implement strategy for processing, publishing, and maintaining digital content (skills) consumed by Amazon’s customers.
Work with stakeholder teams customer experience, platforms, tech, products, marketing, business development, solution architects to delight customers during their skill certification journey and raise the quality bar of skills while maximizing selection in our Skill Store.
Create and optimize processes for adding new digital content quickly, while ensuring the content meets Amazon s high-quality bar and follows Amazon s policies
Partner with ADECT technology team to build skill certification solutions, as well as systems and tools to improve skill certification experience.
Specify requirements for the technological systems and tools required to support the operations strategy
As a Senior Manager, you will:
Operate with autonomy with the capability of operating at all levels and comfortable with working across cross-functional teams spread across India, US, Japan, Australia, and EU.
Have a strong bent of mind to learn new things, be passionate about data & technology, and how its application can improve systems and processes.
Influence without authority and deal with ambiguity
Display strong ownership of all deliverables; plan effectively for all contingencies, and go the extra mile when required.
Above all, you will protect and enhance Amazon’s customer experience., 5+ years of experience in program or project management
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects MBA or Master s degree
8+ years of experience creating and managing programs end to end
Strong process definition and optimization skills; proven ability to define effective, efficient, and massively scalable processes for digital products and services
Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in delivering a world-class customer experience (ideally in the digital content industry); passion for creating innovative solutions for customers
History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one s sleeves to get the job done.
Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience in launching products internationally while working with remote teams.
Previous experience working on confidential high-tech programs and/or products
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis
High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications
Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
Track record of being detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to self motivate and follow through on projects.
